Practical guides & answers

What information do you need to request roadside help?

You do not need to diagnose your vehicle before asking for help. You do need a clear description of where you are, what has happened, and how the provider can reach you.

Your contact and enrollment information

  • Name associated with the enrollment and member or confirmation number, if available.
  • The program or partner organization that supplied the benefit.
  • A callback number you can answer while waiting.
  • Any service request reference already issued for the same incident.

Your location and vehicle

Provide the road, direction, nearest exit or landmark, and a location pin if safe to use. For private property, include the building, garage level, entrance, or access instructions. If you move, let dispatch know.

Describe the vehicle’s make, model, year, color, and power type. Mention a trailer, modification, clearance issue, or other condition that could affect service. Report any immediate hazard without entering an unsafe area to inspect it.

What happened and what is available

Describe symptoms in everyday language: the engine clicks, the tire is flat, the keys are in the trunk, or the fuel gauge is empty. State whether you have a usable spare and wheel-lock key when requesting tire help. Let the provider determine the appropriate service.

Questions to ask before authorizing work

  • Is this service eligible under my enrollment, and has it been authorized?
  • What does the benefit pay or provide, and what would I pay?
  • What is the planned destination if a tow is needed?
  • How will I receive updates, and whom should I contact if circumstances change?

Protect private information

Use the designated service channel for account verification. Do not post member numbers, identification, full card details, or your live location publicly. Save the request reference and receipts for later questions.

Have a question about your account?

Your enrollment documents identify the benefits, eligibility, limits, and service instructions that apply to you.
